Coaching Without the Guesswork

Below is what James would tell you on a call. Coaching, team programs, culture, cost, and how it all gets measured. Have a more specific question or want to go deeper on what you need? Book a 30-minute call or email info@fail4ward.com.

Executive & 1:1 Coaching

What is the difference between executive coaching and therapy?

Therapy looks backward to understand past experiences. Coaching looks forward. In our work together, we focus on what you want to achieve right now and what is standing in the way. We build an action plan, practice new behaviors, and measure progress. You are not healing from something. You are building toward something.

How long does executive coaching typically last?

Most engagements run three to six months, with sessions every two to four weeks. That rhythm gives you time to dig into real challenges, then go apply what you learned in the field. By month three or four, you will feel a real shift. If you need longer, we extend. If you are solid in three months, we wrap up.

Is executive coaching worth the investment?

Yes, for the right leader. If you are wrestling with decision-making, team dynamics, or confidence that holds you back, coaching is built for exactly that. We track your progress with a pre- and post-assessment, so the return is not a feeling; it is something you can see and measure. See what it costs to start.

How much does executive coaching cost?

It depends on what you are buying, and the shapes are different enough that a single number would be misleading.

For individuals in career transition: $350 per session, 45 minutes each. Includes the tru® platform. 6-session minimum across 90 days.

For organizations: Executive and 1:1 coaching starts at $250 per session, with retainer packages available. The tru® platform is $125 per seat, with 20% off at 5 seats or more.

For teams: Three offers, depending on scope. A single-leader 30-Day Trial starts at $1,500. A half-day team workshop is $4,500. The 60-Day Structured Trial is $1,250 per participant. Group cohorts are scoped on a 30-minute call, because the shape changes with the size of the team.

Tell us which option fits your situation, and you will get a solid number on a 30-minute call.

Do you offer virtual coaching or is it in-person only?

Both. Virtual sessions give you flexibility and work just as well: no commute, easy to fit into a packed schedule. In-person sessions can build stronger rapport. Most clients work virtually; some mix both depending on the week.

How do I know if I am ready for coaching?

If you are willing to be honest about what is not working and open to trying something different, you are ready. You do not need to have it figured out. You just need to want things to shift. Book a 30-minute call and start there.

Team Development & Organizational Coaching

What should I look for when hiring a coach for my team?

Look for relevant experience: how many leaders has this person actually coached? What kinds of problems have they solved? Ask about methodology. But also trust your gut: do they listen well? Do they ask questions that make you think? A great coach should make your team feel heard. That is the standard I hold myself to, and it is why we measure the change, not just talk about it.

How is team coaching different from individual coaching?

Individual coaching develops one leader at a time. Team development works with the group, building communication, trust, and collaboration as a unit. We assess where your team is stuck, run workshops, practice new skills together, then follow up to make sure there is actionable change.

What ROI can our organization expect from coaching?

The bigger cost is the one you are already paying. Gallup puts the cost of replacing one employee at 50% to 200% of their annual salary. On a $120,000 manager, one departure runs somewhere between $60,000 and $240,000. We agree the success measures with you up front, and every participant takes the tru® assessment before and after, so the change arrives as a number you can put in front of whoever approved the spend. Get the Hidden Drain Playbook and run the numbers on your team.

How long do team development programs run?

It depends on the shape of the work. A team workshop is a half day of 3 to 4 hours, a full day of 6 to 8, or a multi-day series, for up to 25 people. The 60-Day Structured Trial runs with 5 to 20 participants. Group Coaching Cohorts run 20 to 24 weeks.

Culture & Resilience Training

What does resilience training actually teach?

Real resilience is not about bouncing back. It is about learning to stay steady when things get hard. We teach people to recognize their patterns under stress, manage emotions without shutting down, and find solutions even when the situation is tough. Your team leaves with practical tools.

Can resilience training work for remote or hybrid teams?

Yes. We run culture and resilience workshops virtually, hybrid, or in-person. We customize every engagement based on your team’s setup, whether that is building psychological safety, managing stress through change, or strengthening communication across locations.

How do I know if resilience training is working?

Every participant takes the tru® pre-survey before the program starts and the same survey again at the end. The change shows up as a number rather than an impression, and that is what HR can point to when justifying the spend. Book a 30-minute call to plan yours.

The Brotherhood & Free Resources

What is The Brotherhood and how is it different from other coaching services?

The Brotherhood is a community for men built on accountability, shared standards, and real growth. It is peer-to-peer learning and support, more affordable than 1:1 coaching but structured to drive results. If you want community and consistent growth, The Brotherhood is the right fit. If you need someone to dig deeper into your specific situation, that is where individual coaching comes in. Join the free Brotherhood.

What is in the Confidence Blueprint?

The Confidence Blueprint is a free self-guided framework that walks you through where your confidence actually comes from, where it is leaking, and what to do about it. It is the same 4-step process James uses with coaching clients. It is free, and there is no upsell on the landing page. Get your free Confidence Blueprint.
